Who We Are

Welcome to Our Cellar, where you have direct access to the makers behind Moët Hennessy's iconic portfolio of wines and champagnes.

We invite you to share in our tradition of celebrating life’s moments big and small. Like you, we believe that anything worth celebrating is worth celebrating right. The wines and champagnes in our expertly sourced, hand-curated collection have become synonymous with the ritual of revelry.

From legendary labels that include Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Dom Pérignon, and beyond, Our Cellar taps into a storied legacy of winemaking knowledge to match you with the perfect bottle to elevate any occasion.

Behind each one of our products is a heritage of craftsmanship. A history deeply rooted in nature. And a family of dedicated, passionate people who have mastered the art of the harvest — still picking grapes exclusively by hand for Maisons Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Krug, Ruinart, Dom Pérignon, and Mercier each summer in Champagne — as it’s been done for centuries.

From custom gift bundles, to limited editions, to exclusive wines and champagnes beautifully packaged and delivered to your door direct from the makers, an uncompromising, human-forward approach lies at the heart of everything that we do. And it’s this philosophy that drives us to make your experience feel more personal. The way it should be.

Whether it’s toasting a special occasion, book club night with friends, or just kicking back after a long day, let’s all raise a glass to making any moment feel more memorable.

Cheers.

OUR FOUNDERS

OUR FOUNDERS

Dom Pierre Pérignon
In the 17th century, French Benedictine monk Dom Pierre Pérignon nurtured an ambition to create “the best wine in the world.” As procurator at the Abbey of Hautvillers, he captured the foundational rules of champagne-making in his manifesto — and even provided wines to Louis XIV! To this day, Dom Pierre Pérignon is considered the spiritual father of champagne.
Dom Thierry Ruinart
A Benedictine monk, theologian, and historian, Dom Thierry Ruinart paved the way for the world’s first ever champagne-producing company, founded by his nephew Nicolas Ruinart in 1729. It was after leaving his home in Champagne to study at the Abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Pres at age 23 that Dom Thierry first learned of a new “wine with bubbles” — not yet known as champagne — already popular among young aristocrats.
Madame Clicquot
In 1805, at a time when women weren’t even allowed to open their own bank account, Madame Clicquot became one of the first businesswomen of modern times at 27 when she assumed control of Maison Clicquot after the death of her husband — hence “Veuve Clicquot” (“Clicquot widow”). Recognized by her peers for her formidable contributions, including the first recorded vintage champagne and first blended rosé champagne, she went on to expand her business to all four corners of the world, earning her the moniker the “Grande Dame of Champagne.”
Joseph Krug
Inspired by his understanding that the true essence of champagne is pleasure itself, it was Joseph Krug’s dream in 1843 to found a House where all champagnes would be of the same level of distinction by crafting the most generous expression of champagne every single year, regardless of annual variations in climate. That vision — captured in Joseph’s cherry-colored notebook — was passed down throughout the generations, and to this day the house that bears his name still honors his tradition.
Claude Moët
A French vintner, wine merchant, and founder of the champagne house that would become Moët & Chandon, Claude Moët established the house that bore his name in 1743 before passing down his unrivaled winemaking savoir-faire and innovative spirit from generation to generation. Claude’s grandson, Jean-Rémy Moët, armed with his grandfather’s knowledge and pioneering zeal, would go on to propel Moët & Chandon to the international scene — forging relationships from such figures as Napoleon and the Marquise de Pompadour.
Robert-Jean de Vogüé
It was the vision of Moët & Chandon CEO Robert-Jean de Vogüé and a handful of like-minded trailblazers to modernize luxury sparkling wine by producing it in uncharted lands while staying true to the “method champenoise” of champagne creation. In 1959, Vogüé and his team landed in Argentina and did just that. He replicated this model across four continents — and Chandon is now the only sparkling wine domain on which the sun never sets.
